A new public access defibrillator (PAD) has been installed at St John’s Business Park in Helston, helping to strengthen the town’s network of life-saving equipment and improve access to emergency support for the local community.
The installation has been made possible through a collaboration between Helston Town Council and The Cornish Oven’s Dinky store, creating an additional location where residents, workers and visitors can access a defibrillator should it ever be needed.
While everyone hopes the device will never be called upon, its prominent location at St John’s Business Park makes it an important community asset, serving the many people who work in the area and the customers who pass through each day.
The new addition forms part of Helston Town Council’s ongoing efforts to expand the provision of public access defibrillators across the town, helping to ensure that potentially life-saving equipment is available when every second counts.
